Our Church’s Response to the COVID-19 virus
In response to the recommendations of our provincial health authority to cancel all gatherings of people not in the same household, our church's worship services will be livestream only. To watch our weekly service live, go to https://wglc.online.church/ at 10:20 am and join us! Services are also available to watch later on our website - click here.
We have also suspended all of our in-person small group ministries and are offering online small group ministry instead. These are very difficult times and these are not decisions that we have taken lightly. We believe that the most loving thing that we can do right now is to practice social distancing and pray. This problem is not too big for God to handle and we look to him for all that we need. He is a loving and faithful God and he will carry us through this. God's peace, Pastor James
Worship Service Time Change!
As of June 7th, our worship service time is changing to 10:00 am!
Semi-Annual Meeting Sunday, Jun 14 via Zoom
The Semi-Annual Meeting of Walnut Grove Lutheran Church will be held via Zoom after the online worship service on Sunday, June 14th at 11:00 am, following our 10:00 am online worship service. The Zoom links will be in the newsletter and emailed out to the congregation prior to the meeting.
Please feel free to drop by and do some weeding or clean up of the church grounds at any time during the week on your own or with your family. The parking lot beds and back patio have been sprayed, and all the dead weeds are ready to be raked off or pulled out. The back beds really need to be weeded too! Feel free to weed with a friend who's at least 6 feet away from you! The back patio was sprayed and now could be blown off and pressure washed. If you don't have a key and need to get to the back area of the church, please email Laura.

Hope for Women Pregnancy Services - Baby Bottle Fundraiser
Hope for Women Pregnancy Services is fortunate to be considered an Essential service and saw about 5 women in just the last month who came in and have decided to keep their babies. Some families still come in for the much needed baby boutique supplies during these difficult times. They open their doors and hearts for them because of your generosity!
Each year, they ask churches to take baby bottles and have people fill them with donations to help them to provide resources to their clients free of charge.
This year, due to Covid-19, they're doing it differently. If you would like to donate these are the options:
- online at babybottles.ca
- on the website hopeforwomen.ca
- drop off a cheque to Hope for Women at #109-20611 Fraser Hwy.
If you want to contribute to the next Africa mission project, please write “Africa Mission 2020” on your offering envelope beside the amount you wish to give.
