Doors open at 7pm, beginner East Coast swing dance lesson at 7:30pm, dance begins at 8:30pm. Concession will be available-run by youth. All proceeds go towards the Inner City project. Donations of socks and gloves will also be accepted at the dance.
The admission cost is a $5 donation which will also go towards the Inner City project.

Children’s Fall Festival Saturday, October 25th 7:00-9:00
Please join us to celebrate how God made you special. Come out to play games, sing, watch a movie, and have a snack. Dress up in a costume to show how special you are (no scary costumes please!). There will be special guests from Crew Ministries. Donations of new toothbrushes, toothpaste or a bar of soap for the Youth Inner City project will be accepted. This is the same night and time as the Fall Fundraiser and Dance, so parents can come out to have a dance lesson and enjoy some fun while the kids are having a great time too.

Youth Event: Bear Creek Park Halloween
For the next youth event we will be taking a ride on the Halloween Train. We will meet at the church at 6pm on Oct. 23rd. A short devotion will follow.

The annual Men’s Fishing Trip will be held September 19th - 21st this year. We’ll camp at Harmon Lake, enjoy great food and fellowship! Cost TBD.

Learning Drop-in Centre for ESL and Homework Help
For all kids: ESL and Native Speakers in grades 4 - 6
Monday - Thursday 2:45 - 4:15pm
Starting: Sept. 15, 2008
Suggested donation: $3/day or $40/month

* Participate in ESL activities
* Make friends
* Speak English
* Learn about Canadian and other cultures in Walnut Grove
Taught by an experienced ESL teacher
Our mission is to foster intercultural relationships and friendships affirming God’s unique design in each individual while providing academic help and cultural learing in a safe environment.

An adult drop-in ESL Bible Study will take place on Fridays starting Sept. 12th 10:30am - 12:00pm. Bible study discussion and/or specific language skills will be offered.

Jesus & Me (J.A.M.) at the Circus
Vacation Bible School will be held Aug. 18th - 22nd from 9am - 12pm. Registration is now open. You can come in or register over the phone @604-888-1004. Children up to grade 7 are welcome. The cost is by donation, with a suggested donation of $20 per child to cover the cost of crafts and snacks.
